So I couldn't sleep tonight, and spent hours tossing and turning in my roasty-toasty bedroom.
I finally decided I just wasn't going to fall asleep and that I might as well get up and work on something. As I'm getting up, I happen to casually glance out the window....

and BAM, what do I see?

Noctilucent clouds!

I've never ever seen these before! They are soooo weird, but beautiful looking. They actually look like they are glowing (they kind of make me think of jellyfish XD). I've read that they're around this time of year, but I never thought I'd actually see'em! GAH! I'm a happy camper to-day!

Apparantly they're becoming more common and also reaching further south (they used to only be seen at and above the lattitude where the US/Canada border basically is)

Sooo, if you live in the northern hemisphere or northen US, and it's not cloudy where you are, you should definitely wake up early (before sunrise) to look at these! (they also happen after sunset, but I always miss them if they are out then )

It's almost as eeirily beautiful and amazing as watching the aurora borealis.
